I was baptized in 2014 and have been growing in faith and boldness ever since. I've given my life to God's will and I try to reach the lost whenever God presents an opportunity.
Why was Jesus raised from the dead on the dawn of the 3rd day? Was God foreshadowing how long he would be gone from the earth before his return? It is written in scripture that 1000 years on earth is like 1 day to God. Jesus was crucified around the year 30 (+/- a few years) according to most historians. So we are only about 7 years away from the dawn of the 3rd millennium since his crucifixion, resurrection and ascension. Will he return just as he did from the dead on the dawn of the 3rd day? When you factor in all the other prophecies coming true in the world currently, everything is lining up. Please consecrate yourselves with the blood of Jesus to make yourselves clean and follow Him. He is the good shepherd.
But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
2 Peter 3:8 ESV
After two days he will revive us; on the third day he will raise us up, that we may live before him.
Hosea 6:2 ESV
Then the Lord told Moses, “Go down and prepare the people for my arrival. Consecrate them today and tomorrow, and have them wash their clothing. Be sure they are ready on the third day, for on that day the Lord will come down on Mount Sinai as all the people watch.
Exodus 19:10-11 NLT
On the morning of the third day, thunder roared and lightning flashed, and a dense cloud came down on the mountain. There was a long, loud blast from a ram’s horn, and all the people trembled.
